Jacque Pohl joined the Entomology Department in 2016 to help coordinate creation of the Iowa Monarch Conservation Strategy and the Iowa Pest Resistance Management Plan (IPRMP). She enjoys working with diverse stakeholders to overcome challenges with new strategies and collaborative efforts. She will continue to update these documents and support efforts to move forward with implementation of the strategy and the plan in Iowa. 

Jacque Pohl graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in English and Biology in 2006. Her communication background includes design, writing, editing, photography, web design, video, and marketing, including social media marketing. She spent five years editing scientific content for the Journal of Soil and Water Conservation at the Soil and Water Conservation Society. In 2011, Jacque was hired as a communication specialist to improve communication materials and strategies for the Intensive English and Orientation Program, which is part of the English Department at Iowa State.
