I received my Ph.D. in the Department of Plant Pathology, Entomology, and Microbiology at Iowa State University. Since 2017 I've had the pleasure (and privilege) of studying the biota of the thermal springs in Yellowstone National Park. The insect fauna here are commonly referred to as extremophiles, and they're uniqueness has guided my work as an entomologist.
