Coats Receives Award from the Society of Toxicology’s Central States Chapter

Joel Coats receiving the 2017 John Doull Award from Richard Martin, President of Central States Chapter of the Society of ToxicologyJoel Coats, Distinguished Professor of Entomology & Toxicology, in the Department of Entomology at Iowa State University has received the 2017 John Doull Award. It was presented by the Central States Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (CS-SOT) to honor Dr. Coats’ contributions to the discipline of toxicology and the SOT chapter. It was presented at the Annual Meeting of the chapter. Joel’s areas of specialization are insect toxicology and environmental toxicology and chemistry of agrochemicals. He has served as major professor for 43 graduate students while he has been on the faculty at Iowa State since 1978.
