Caddisflies of Iowa: Biogeography and biomonitoring.

Abstract. I will provide a historical perspective on published caddisfly records for Iowa and where we are currently with documented records, including a review of past methods for obtaining records and a discussion on how we can increase our documented species list in the future.  Secondly, and intertwined, I will review our usage of indices of biotic integrity for the state and how caddisflies are part of specific metrics. Finally, I will discuss some potential future projects using caddisflies of Iowa.
