As a subgenus of Limonia or Dicranomyia:
Limonia (Nealexandriaria)
Dicranomyia (Nealexandriaria)
Alexander, C.P. 1967. New or little-known Tipulidae from eastern Asia (Diptera). LIX. Philippine Journal of Science 95: 107.
The species of Nealexandriaria are grouped on the wing venation that shows the absence of the discal cell and a single medial vein attaining the wing margin. This genus is listed as a subgenus of Dicranomyia by Oosterbroek (2005) but is elevated to generic level here based on the venation of adult fly.
The 25 species of Nealexandriaria are currently known only from the Oriental and Australian/Oceanic regions. The species of the Oriental Region (15 species) are strongly distributed throughout Indonesia and the Philippines.
The larval habits of this subgenus are unknown.
