Ella graduated from ISU in 2017 majoring in Global Resource Systems with minors in both Biology and Emerging Global Diseases. During her time in the lab, Ella routinely performed blood meal analysis on Culex mosquitoes collected in Iowa to better understand how host selection may influence WNV transmission, as well as developed new multiplex PCR assays to aid in host bloodmeal identification. She is now attending the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health working on her masters degree.
