Fate of the insecticidal, proteinaceous parasporal crystal of Bacillus thuringiensis in soilAuthors: West, A.W.
Journal, Volume, Year: Soil Biology and Biochemistry, volume 16(4):357-360, 1984
Summary
This study monitored the decomposition of the parasporal protein-crystal in a real soil. The persistence of the crystal was monitored using radiolabel (14C) and insect bioassay. The soil was supplemented with organic matter or not supplemented. Addition of organic matter significantly decreased decomposition. Insecticidal activity fell rapidly in all soil treatments. |
