Pesticide Toxicology Laboratory

Experiments were done to evaluate the effects of two Bt preparations (Dipel and Bactospeine) on earthworms (Lumbricus terrestris) in a forest environment. Three concentrations of Dipel and one concentration of Bactospeine were applied on a 9 square meter plot. Mean densities of earthworms in each plot were determined prior to and after Bt treatment. None of the Bt treatments had an adverse effect on earthworm populations.
