Summary

The effects of Novodor (Cry3Aa), transgenic corn (Cry3Bb1), and fipronil on bulb mite (Rhizoglypus robini) survival and distribution was assessed in the lab. There were no effects of Bt observed in contact and ingestion tests and in food choice tests the mites chose garlic root preferentially over corn, and transgenic corn over non-transgenic. Suggest little impact of Bt on mite B. robini populations.
