Summary

Diet-incorporated feeding bioassays using purified CryIIA protein was tested against one isopod and 35 insect species. Only Lepidoptera and Diptera were sensitive to the CryIIA protein. Larval growth was reduced when exposed to sublethal concentrations of CryIIA protein.

Comments

This study only used purified CryIIA protein; no testing was done using transgenic crops.
