Summary
Pollen was treated with M-One (Bt San Diego) formulation. C. mac. larvae took longer to develop on the M-One treated pollen than on the water control treated pollen. No larval mortality occurred. Third instar larvae were fed Leptinotarsa decemlineata eggs treated with M-One and at the hightest level of treatment (200 mL M-One/L), the larvae attacked the eggs 35% less than in controls. |
Not using transgenic Bt. Paper included some developmental measures and a behavioral measure, which are less common. M-One formulation appears to have a relatively low risk at manufacturer's reccommended application rate (20 mL/L)
