The microbial formulation M-One (Bt var. san diego) was used in feeding studies wherein pollen was dosed with M-One formulation at 200 mL M-One/L water. In 10 day tests, pollen consumption was reduced significantly. At the manufacturers field rate (20 mL M-One/L water), the number of eggs was reduced by 37% after 3 hours and 14.5% after 24 hours.
Did not use transgenic Bt. Showed an adverse effect for C. mac, which is different than several other studies.
