Summary
Transgenic cotton plants (MON81) expressing CryIAb delta-endotoxin from Bt kurstaki were used in field studies to determine efficacy against Helicoverpa, risk of resistance, and effects on beneficial and non-target arthropods. Field trials showed good efficacy against Helicoverpa; however, reduced chemical use for Helicoverpa could favor an increase in abundance of minor pests. |
Focus is mostly on efficacy and possible resistance problems.
