The toxicity of two Bacillus thuringiensis delta-endotoxins to gypsy moth larvae is inversely related to the affinity of binding sites on midgut brush border membranes for the toxinsAuthors: Wolfersberger, M.G.

Summary
The increased potency to gypsy moth larvae of Btk strain HD1-9 compared to strain HD-73 was determined to be caused by the greater binding affinity of HD-73 to the brush border membrane of larval gypsy moth midguts. |
Evaluation of toxicity versus binding affinity is interesting.
