41st Annual Meeting of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology
Poor worm, thou art infected! This visitation shows it.
William Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ Act 3, Scene 1.
The 41st Annual Meeting of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology and the 9th International Conference on Bacillus thuringiensis (incorporating COST862 Action* Bacterial Toxins for Insect Control) will be held at the University of Warwick, Coventry, United Kingdom, from the 3rd – 7th August 2008. Warwick is a modern campus-based university situated on the outskirts of the city of Coventry, in the West Midlands region of England. Coventry is located 95 miles north west of London. The University campus is 10 miles from the historic town of Warwick itself, and 20 miles from Stratford upon Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The campus is well served by air, rail and road transport links. Delegates from overseas can fly into London or Birmingham, and then to Coventry by rail (90 minutes from London Euston station, 20 minutes from Birmingham International Airport station), and then get a taxi from Coventry rail station to the campus (about ten minutes drive). The main campus is set in parkland and covers an area of 700 acres (c.300 ha). The conference will be held in the Conference Park, which is located in the centre of the campus. Accommodation is provided by University of Warwick conference services and will be on campus in halls of residence or in one of the University’s dedicated conference centres, although hotel accommodation off campus is also available if required. The University accommodation is to a very high standard and we encourage delegates to stay on campus to get the most out of the meeting and to experience the unique atmosphere of the SIP.
