Upcoming Program

December 7, 2009
How Green is Green and could it be Greener?
Cynthia Jenks, Ames Laboratory

Green energy (be it wind or solar or biomass) is critical to reducing our dependence on foreign sources of oil. As researchers, what do life cycle analyses of green energy have to say about where we should consider focusing our own energy and attention? A review of recent studies looking at the overall environmental impact and costs of various technologies will be presented.
