Abstract: Is IPM dead? "IPM", 50 years after the publication of its core concepts by Stern et al. (Hilgardia, 1959), remains today a hotly debated paradigm for sustainable pest management. This presentation will review the Integrated Control Concept and provide detail on a rare working example in practice in the Arizona cotton system. Stern, Smith, van den Bosch and Hagan (1959) Hilgardia, is available online here.
