The Marriott is a 30-story white tower in the downtown area (the second tallest building in the Des Moines skyline).

From I-35 southbound (from Minneapolis) or I-80 westbound (from Chicago):

• Connect to I-235 southbound (to downtown)
• Proceed approximately 3 miles to the first exit past the Des Moines River
• Exit on the 3rd Street exit; stay in the left-hand lane toward Veteran's Memorial Auditorium
• Continue west to 7th Street
• Turn left (south) onto 7th Street for 6 blocks
  • A public parking garage straddles 7th Street one block before the Marriott Hotel on your right.

From I-35 northbound (from Kansas City) or I-80 eastbound (from Omaha)

• Connect to I-235 northbound (to downtown)
• Proceed approximately 4 miles east to 7th Street exit
• Turn right (south) onto 7th Street for 6 blocks
  • A public parking garage straddles 7th Street one block before the Marriott Hotel on your right

Park in the 7th Street Parking Garage if possible. Walk through the second floor level skywalk to the Marriott Hotel.

If the 7th Street Parking Garage is full, turn right onto Grand Avenue. First street after the garage.

Move to the left lane for the Locust Mall Parking Garage at the corner of 9th Street and Grand Avenue.

Eight public parking garages are in downtown Des Moines. Garages are marked with large green letter "P" signs.
