ESA Distinguished Achievement Award in Regulatory Entomology
Joanne Kick-Raack
The Ohio State University
Joanne Kick-Raack is Pesticide Applicator Training Coordinator for The Ohio
State University Extension and has 20 years experience in agriculture and an
extensive background in the development of educational materials and training
programs. She holds a B.S. degree in Plant Pathology from Cornell University
and an M.S. in Agricultural Education from The Ohio State University. In 1992,
Ms. Kick-Raack served in Washington, D.C. as interim National Program Leader
for the Pesticide Education for USDA. She is currently a member of the
national Certified Crop Advisor Exam and Continuing Education Committee and is
the leader of a comparable committee in the state of Ohio. She has served with
Extension since 1989 and takes an active leadership role in pesticide issues
and programs at the state and national level .
