I worked in Dr. Gassmann's lab for three and a half years while obtaining my B.S. in Animal Ecology. I then spent a year as an intern at DM Crop Research Group, where I gained valuable experience in raising corn rootworm, raising fall armyworm, helping with soil sampling, collecting adult corn rootworm from tent studies, doing stand counts in corn and soybeans, and assisting with planting and harvesting of research plots. After interning at DM Crop Research Group, I returned to the Gassmann lab to work as a lab technician assisting with rearing western corn rootworm colonies, helping manage student employees, and assisting graduate students with their research. In 2018 I moved into a new roll within the Gassmann lab managing our field research plots. I currently do the planting, field maintenance, data collection, and evaluate our research plots. In the off season I work on field reports, assist graduate students, and work on various other projects to help benefit the Gassmann lab.
