Department of Entomology

Entomologists at Iowa State University have continued a tradition of excellence since Professor Herbert Osborn taught the nation's first entomology course here in 1880. The department is part of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Nearly 100% of our graduates find employment.
We are hosting the North Central Branch ESA meeting in Des Moines, March 9-12, 2014. The meeting attracts professionals, undergraduate and graduate students from 14 north central states and three Canadian provinces.
